Coming Saturday 18th.Feb'07 is Gong Xi Fa Cai-ushering in the Year of The Pig. The year before was the dog. It was all about the animals' attendance upon Gautama Buddha. First to arrive will be the first in the calendar, next to arrive wil be 2nd, and so on & so forth. Well...rat (my animal calendar, although I don't like the sighting of rats!) arrived first, followed by the bull, and lastly the pig. I know how rat became first, bull 2nd. and pig last, and why cat was not in the calendar. Go ask your Chinese friend (if only he/she knows...)
