I can't wait to explore Bremen. I've been to Europa cities like Aachen,Stuttgart,Munchen,Konstanz,Vienna,Brussels even Maarstricht and likewise I just love the city scapes, the architecture (Gothic, Romanaque, Baroque, Renaissance, Bauhaus), public spaces where there are activities like markt platz, Christmas markt, city squares, the hauptbahnhof (central train station) and the flea markets!
From where I am staying at the Gastehaus in Lise-Meitner Strasse, I'd board the no.6 tram (heading towards the Flughafen/Domsheide) to either get down at the hauptbahnhof (train station) or the Domsheide.
Mike, on day 2 has taken both of us to the ticket office to buy weekly bus/tram tickets but on the day after he managed to get ready our semester tickets, so going up and down trams/buses is not a problem. Thanks Mike :-)
Moving around the city or its vacinity is a breeze. I've already known where to get my weekly food supply (there's Extra & Penny Markt & the Asian grocery shop), souvenirs (for Mom,Big Sis Nina, Big Bro Zol & Kid Bro Redz) and most importantly the moschee (mosque for my Friday prayers).
Extra and Penny Markt is at Watjen Strasse tram station, a few tram stations away from the Universitat.
The Al-Fadila Moschee is near the Am Wall tram station. Board only tram no.1 from the hauptbahnhof. Don't walk from the hauptbahnhof if you're not familiar bcos this city is 'big', you may get lost and please obey the traffic lights because trams, buses and cars share the same road!

*I don't look cool in snow caps :-P, so anyone wants it?:-P
On the forth day of our arrival, Mr.F, Malaysian student texted msg to both of us, colleague Mdm.Wan F and me, for a rendezvous. He wanted to show me the mosque for Friday prayers. I thought the meeting place was 'Roland Centre' but alas it was the 'Roland Statue' and we were already at the Roland Centre!
Hence, we later alightened at Am Wall tram station (as directed by him), met him there and proceed to the Al-Fadila Moschee. Later after I had performed the Isha prayers there, we proceeded to a Turkiye kebap outlet and eat...whatelse but kebap.
Mr.F later took us to Lepat's ( a Malaysian street painter) home somewhere near his (Mr.F) schule. Lepat paints real good portraits. He and his German wife was very friendly indeed. Daughter Amina is cute! It was like meeting an old friend!

Bis dahin , Auf Wiedersehen!
