Searching...found a poetry book *which has got nothing to do with berufsbildung, :-)*by Nazim Hikmet...

Writing...typing...


Reading...but why are my books seemed closed, huh? I've just finished reading :-p

Day46_Thursday26 Feb09_To the Bibliothek...again!:-)

The bibliothek internet is yours for 2 hours. Key-in your bibliothek/library card number and your password. I was there also to fetch the book ordered through the library website *very2 convienient* besides looking for more books...*larat ke Abg baca banyak2 buku nih?*

Searched for the'ordered book' by Havighurst on the shelves provided at the right hand corner of the 1st.floor.Then find any available computer. That's S******, sitting at the next computer.Then S****** went off. Came another man.

...but I was still there! *usage time was not over yet*:-) Near 1400hrs. I went to the MENSA to see whether the student's body *ala-ala Koperasi* kiosk (selling Uni items like caps, stickers, pins etc) was open or not. Nah, it was closed everytime I went during the lunch time :-) I learnt that this time is the exam week so most probably the students could not spare some time there.Nevermind, I'll go again some other days.

Day44_Tuesday24Feb09_To the Bibliothek.

To the Bibliothek to get the book I had ordered through the library website.

Met Brother F*****, the Malaysian student who had invited us to his house for dinner (pls read in my previous posting).

On my way to the Universitat Zentral Bereich from the Bibliothek (and as usual I will be clicking pictures), a guy said from behind "why are you taking picture?". I showed a puzzled expression on my face. He then said "maybe u don't recognised me because I was wearing cap all the time".

"Ahhhh, A**" I said with a smile.
"No,I**" said he, correcting his name.
"I have a blog"

Brother I** is from Armeniar and yes, I have met him several times at the library. We have brief conversations then. He's always seen at the Bibliothek, studying!

The book 'ordered' through the bibliothek website will be ready for collection within 3 hours. You have to come to the Bibliothek, find it on these shelves according to either your name or surname & then go to the borrowing library counter to borrow it accordingly or use the self-service machine :-)

Day37_17Feb09_To the WLan office & Bibliothek

Wan had to see the people at the Universitat's WLan office regarding her laptop internet downloading problem. The WLan office is open to students am Dienstags (1000-1200hrs) und am Donnestags (1200-1400hrs) so that Tuesday morning we went direct from the apartment to the WLan office, before going to the Bibliothek/library.

Herr F****** , the WLan person did his very best and told Wan to later try it back at the apartment, however Wan said she'd would try it later in the evening. After the WLan visit both of us went to the Bibliothek/library to do some research & reading.

Day30_Dienstag/Tuesday 10Feb'2009_To the Bibliothek.

Tuesday seemed to be like our bibliothek 'day'! Usually we'd stay until 1400-1500hrs.However, on this day I 've decided to go back early because I want to go to Werder Bremen's Weserstadion (stadium)...*just to check out where it is and it actually looks like!*:-)

This time around I managed to find 'more' relevant buchs related to scope of research. For berufsbildung, it's the 3rd.floor., at 'pea 700 something'.If you've been to the Universitat Bremen bibliothek,then you'll know where the location of these shelves are.:-)

Leaving the gastehaus.There are still snow on the ground, along the paving & on the road.At the Universitat Zentrum......going up the steps,exit door,to the right, to the bibliothek.At the entrance.Bibliothek opening hours. Looking for busch/books.*Usually we'd find the books first then the place to sit. :-) No single desk to sit.As usual, it's always full. This one is gooood! "Informal Learning In the Workplace".some ideas from this book...Typing some text... Borrowing books. The books scanning machine for borrowing books. Self-service or go to the librarian just infront of this machine.There are 2 machines like this.You slot your bibliothek card, choose language *Englisch of course* (it's touch screen), open the book find where the bar code is located, book facing down, slide the book from right to left,see the screen if book has been scanned, if successful a receipt of the book you're borrowing will be printed (it comes out from the white box next to the monitor)....like how I'm doing it :-)At the Universitat Zentrum waiting for tram to go home.That tram's going to ITB * the opposite direction*

I'm planning to go to Werder Bremen's stadium *stadium keramat-lah ni* at the Weserstadion right after I 've secured my laptop at home.

Day25_Donnerstag(Thursday) 5 Feb 2009_To the Universitat's Bibliothek/Library again.

On this day I went to the Bibliothek / Library with Frau Wan F********. I*** said yesterday she'd be coming to the Bibliothek around 1000hrs. However since Dr.Bremer had emaild 3 pdF's yesterday evening around 1900hrs, I told Wan I wanted to go to ITB to print them out into hardcopies.

Printing the Pdf's. Wan was reading journal articles.

Later around 11am or so, both of us (me & Frau Wan) took the tram from ITB to the Universitat Zentral.

Wan searching for books.

Earlier on since there was no desks available on the 3rd.floor of the Bibliothek, the three of us (I***,Wan & me) decided to do our reading in this Discussion Room on the same floor. However since it was too noisy (you're allowed to talk/discuss in this enclosed room) we went out to search for available desks. That lady in pink scalf & her friends were the ones doing their discussion :-)

Sitting at a desk by the window. 'Extra' desk so no socket outlet.Changed desk.Now has socket to plug in electric power :-)

Wan, doing some reading. We just don't know where I*** was sitting.

Ready to leave the Bibliothek after taking the jacket & laptop bag from the cloakroom counter.

I*** who came earlier than us to the library went off earlier while me and Wan left the Bibliothek around 1445hrs. It was drizzling and very chilly outside. Wan went straight back to the apartment while I hang around the Universitat Zentral compound to do some window shopping at the various outlets overthere, the Campus point, UNIKUM, the IT outlet and bookstores. I have seen beautiful, artistic and interesting postcards on sale at the bookstores.
