This cute, 'manja' and nice looking kitten was immediately nicknamed 'Ching' (the short for 'Kucing', cat in Malay). Ching ran in between my legs while I was performing the afternoon prayers, sat on lap during tahiyat and climbed on to my shoulders during the doa. *Dah lama tak rasa kucing buat macam tu* It's been ages since cats did the things to me! No wonder blogger Roti Kacang Merah, cartoonist Zunar's wife is very fond of their 2 cats named Labu & Labi! :-)
'Ching' 'played' on by biting my fingers. When I was small (mum loves rearing cats) I would 'talk' to cats, kissed them (the clean ones,of course), sleep with cats, bathe them and bury them (when they are dead). Mum's cats were toilet-trained where they'd go to the 'edge' of toilet holes to 'do business'!
I scratched Ching's neck *cats love to be scratched that way*. No, I did not take Ching back although one of the inmates of the Addiniah ophanage said "brother, if you like you can take it back with you". Ummmph, probably Ching has an owner... Here are some pics of the "Ching and I".
