Babah's Birthday 24May2007

As usual I don't look forward to any birthday gifts or whatsoever on my birthday but Azizul remembers. He has bought a card (not sure a few weeks or months before), nicely signed, sealed and placed in a box in his room (it will be given to me when he and kid bro Redza comes back from the hostel in the weekend but then he called up from the hostel the night before and adviced me to find the card in his room. (Days before the 24th.when Zizol and kid bro Redza was away in the hostel while I was cleaning their room I saw 'the' envolope with my name on in a box in their room so therefore somehow I knew there's a birthday card waiting for me on my birthday*grin* ). Sis Nina who was at home for her semester's holidays wished happy birthday as soon as she woke up in the morning.Last year she got me genuine leather wallet and belt but this year it was just a birthday wish*grin* nevmind-lah. Later in the afternoon Mama texted msg her birthday wish from her office. I then said to Nina (it was around 11 am) "let's go to Ikea and jalan-jalan cari makan". She agreed & we took the Sprint highway that cuts across University Malaya, passed by the Eastin Hotel (another RM2 toll not even 7km from the previous toll, heck!) and search & drive looking forIKEA (never been there since it is over the other side of Putrajaya there's always Carrefour & Tesco near here) must be somewhere near One Utama TV3 area. Entered One Utama, nope, we drove towards Sg.Penchala but kept looking to our right for the big IKEA signage.

IKEA is in The Curve area. There's also the Ikano. Parking was a breeze.Registered for member's card.Took the cute pencils and list for shopping convenience. There was lots of ideas just by going from one show room to another. The surau was comfortable. The toilets are either with ablution taps or just the toilet papers*grin* The cafeteria (smell of food, coffee, deco) reminded me of my trip to Europe & Germany precisely because of its cleanliness and also where you have to send away your tray to the tray cart after finish eating (to save cost on tray handling says IKEA).We settled for the local cuisine.

On a final note, product designs was simple, nicely done, practicle & not that expensive, probably because it was Chine made? :-)
