Tarawikh@Masjid Putra Monday 24th.Sept'07

Mom was still away in Ipoh after father-in-law passed away last Saturday, the 22nd.Sept'2007. This was a chance to break fast at 'any' available mosque within the Putrajaya vicinity such as Serdang, Bangi or Kajang, but I have decided to 'try out' the iftar at Masjid Putra in Putrajaya...anyway I was already 'on the road' (from UKM meeting up with Indonesian PhD student Brother S******** regarding statistics).

Came around 6.15pm, took ablution, prayed 'tahiyatul masjid' and read a few verses of the Al-Quran while waiting for iftar. The iftar areas was at the left wing (for ladies) and right wing (for men) of the mosque.

Near azan, we'd bring along the drinks provided in tumblers and sit on the straw mat provided by the caterer, with the kurma & Malay kueh already served in plates for 4 people. After the azan, the jemaah would break fast with kurma and Malay kueh

waiting for azan maghrib

then proceed for the maghrib prayer, later queued up to eat rice at the same place we had iftar before.

I stayed back to perform the 20 rakaats and 3 witirs. Met former colleagues like architect Nik M***** and Y**** A**** after the tarawikh prayers

and joined them for moreh which was fried noodles & tea.
