Last night (on Tuesday 18th.Sept'07) was the 6th.consecutive night to perform tarawikh prayers. After the 6th.day of Ramadhan, I was still at Precinct 11 surau Al-Furqan to perform the tarawikh prayers. Since first night (last Thursday 13th.Sept) the crowd was overwhelming, overspilled until both the entrances of the surau (just like Friday prayers!).
My two neighbours Uncle H***** (in maroon Malay dress)
and Uncle R****** * (in light green).
Kids were many & merrily making so much... noise!(Did not the daddys or the mummies advice them to 'not to make noise' & 'don't disturb those who wanted to pray'? :-) ) These kiddos were occupying the spaces which could have been utilized by adults....mmmph...and also adults who just preferred to pray at the balcony near the entrance where actually there was ample praying spaces at the 'serambi' on the left wing of the surau (this made it difficult for latecomers to enter the inner praying area of the surau). (Can't really say whether these people who prayed near the entrance were bcos they wanted to 'exit' easily after 8 rakaah or bocs it was more airy 'outside'???)
Typically the 8 rakaat would ends around 2120hrs while the 20 rakaats would ends around 2150hrs and plus 3 witir rakaat that would be around 2200hrs.

Tahlil
The tahlil will usually takes around 10-15 mins. The moreh plus chit-chatting meeting friends (who were usually 'busy' during other months-well this is the time to meet up with them) will be another 10-15mins and you'll end up leave the surau at 2230hrs or so... unless you want to help up with washing the tumblers and bowls etc...:-)
The moreh.
Allah bless you readers! Enjoy the pics! Wassalam.
